What did your district or Group do for St Georges Day?
We did our usual parade through the city to the Cathedral. It always amuses me how dopey the general public are as they always seem to get in the way. They can't say they don't know we're coming as we're preceded by a drum band (who take great delight in setting off the shop burglar alarms because they're so loud!)
Service in the Cathedral and reafirming of Promises.
March back to starting point past the Mayor.
We only marched from the town square to the church...which is on the town square! Service, some reflection and renewing our promises.
What about you Smiler?
We did our usual parade but this year decided to have an open air service in the town squar to try and help get scouting noticed.

We meet in a car park and marched to a hall in the centre of town, where we renewd our promises and had awards given out such as the chief scouts bronze, silver and gold awards for the beavers, cubs and scouts, and some leaders got so many years service certificate.
Prettry much the standard St Georegs Day in your district. (Not the most thrilling in my opioion). We were meant to have the service outside but the GSLs didnt want to get wet! Boring lot!
