having being on summer camps for the last 10 years probably the best one iv had was my last one as a venturer lst summer to switzerland. stayed in kandersteg and did an over night glaccier walk which is definitly something every one should experience.

This is probably closely followed cappanalea OEC in Co. Kerry which was also last year. this was my first camp as the camp cheif and it was great to have organised it and seen it run soo smoothly

So far, I've only participated in one Summer Camp in my 20 years of being a Scouter... that was to Slovenia in 2004 with the County Explorers and Network.

Kandersteg looks pretty awesome, if a little expensive, and I would love to take my Explorers there in the future...

ah ya we found it about the same as ireland like. you can get there afirly cheaply we got cheap flights wit easy jet but the train was expensive but it drops ya close to the site. eating out was about the same as ireland usually came to about € 25 a head( waT ever amoount of chfrancs that is ) the grociery shopping is cheap enuf well pasta was cheap enuf all in alll ya well worth a visit but dont let the price put ya off its worth it
