We have just finished taking our colony to the climbing wall (2 lodges each week) and the beavers enjoyed it. Last nights session was canceled, as the instructor was ill. We go to the climbing wall at a nearby youth centre - great wall for learning to climb.
Until a few years ago I wouldn't have thought of taking beavers climbing - I had 12 beavers at the climbing wall, while the beaver leader has the rest at the hall.
Has anyone taken their beavers climbing or tried an activity that is more of a scouty adventure one?
We do climbing with Beavers regularly down at Evolution. Often back to back with our Scout meeting at the same location and so we can have the Scout leaders (many of whom are experienced climbers) can help supervise the Beavers and play climbing games with them.
I'd highly recommend it as a Beaver activity.

Beavers Climbing
Being one of the few climbing instructors for our District we have thought about opening it up for beavers - but with 14 groups - cubs and scouts in each, 5 explorer units and 1 network unit we are quite busy as it is - may offer it at the next beaver funday though.
Our group is very local to Thriftwood Scout Campsite, and we have taken our Beavers there many times. They absolutly love it, even if they're a little scared, and it gives them a brilliant taste of what's to come in Cubs and above.
