Title: Day trips

We're planning a day trip for the beavers to somewhere, we haven't decided yet. Have you been anywhere nice that you would recommend?

We have been to Eurika in Halifax and Life in Newcastle before.

Have you got anywhere near you that is interesting or that the beavers themselves particulary like to do.

We've a few little places about that I find quite nice, but alot aren't very interesting for kids. We want the kids to have fun and find it interesting. We have a victorian open air museum (Beamish) not too far away, but I don't think that its suitable for our age group.

The trouble I have been having getting a trip sorted out for the beavers, is trying to think of somewhere of fun and interest for the young people which isn't too far away and they don't go to with school. The schools which our beavers go to, tend to go to places like, Life, Beamish, Eden camp, Rydale museum, National Railway museum at York or similar with their school. All of which are good places to go to. I have enquired at a few places, but they cannot accommodate group bookings on that particular date or the activity only lasts a maximum of 3 hours. I can't change the date as I am a shift worker and have to work the trips in with my shifts. I have found a hands on family run childrens farm in Lanchester, Co Durham which looks very good and one in Morpeth, both of which may be getting an email from me about a booking.
