When BP set up the Scouts one of His main objectives was to improve the Health of Boys and Young Men.One thing I have been anxious to set up for several years was a system whereby it would be possible to screen particularly Boys as they made the transition from School to working life or College. The average age is within Explorer membership so that it would be possible to look at Explorer Units, and as part of Explorer Training is learning 'Support Techniques' having a greater understanding of what particular members needs and anxieties are.The key elements for many boys in Scouts and Explorer Units is the very membership of the Organisation. The larger the Troop or Unit the less the anxiety.Boys are particularly susceptible to the views of other Boys and Scouts have never been 'Cool' at any time. However they are 'Fun' and 'They Are Special' and most importantly for 'Boys'.It does not matter if You are not a Patrol Leader or Patrol Second You are a Member Of a Patrol with a Name. You have a Name probably a 'Nick-Name' that might only be used in Scouts. At School You Might Feel Lost or Unknown. In Scouts There are such a range of unique opportunities from Gang Shows to Adventure Week-Ends to Mad Week-Ends where You have a Great Time Being 'Super Sane'.Dr.Stu..
