Having been Educated at a time when any painful interviews with School Masters,Scout Masters could so easily be continued by Fathers at Home. The trick was not to make 'Ones Dad' aware of any 'School or Scout' punishment as the relationship between 'Sitting Comfortably' and 'Not Sitting Down' for some days was always dependent on keeping the three parts of a 'Boys Life' seperate.For some Boys I knew Dad was 'Dad','Sir' and 'Skip' all rolled into one.A Painful Reminder of 'Not Being Good' and 'Being Caught'.Things have as they say moved on and there is no greater need in Scouting than to have the Parents 'on board','on side','singing from the same hymn sheet'.When we were 'Boy Scouts' or 'Scouts' our Parents were happy to attend committee meetings they were not however attending every Group Meeting worrying that 'Jason' or 'Dean' or 'Wayne' has not been selected to 'carry the flag','pitch a tent','sort the jumble','stay for the sleep over' etc etc.I don't know what it must like working with the other Sections but when 'An Explorers Mummy Says She Wants A Word,It's certainly Time to 'Be Prepared' Dr.Stu..
