| On the 31 March, a Royal Mail lorry containing 15,000 Scouting magazines caught fire on the M20. All 15,000 copies were destroyed or damaged beyond repair, along with the respective inserts, supplements, St George's Day Award inserts and appointment cards. All of the damaged goods, including the cards were returned to the Royal Mail depot and are secure. After police formalities, they will also be disposed of in a secure and controlled environment. If you have not received your magazine by Monday 6 April it is likely that you have been affected by this incident. Your magazine and St George's Day Award supplement will be sent within seven days. The remaining inserts including your appointment card will be sent by 20 April. If the situation changes, we will keep you informed. |
