Although I hope most of you will be 'Out and About' as it's the half term break following on from 'Bank Holiday Monday'.There are however a series of Surgical Programmes on Channel 4 that week at something like 10:00pm to 12:00am where it will be possible to see some interesting Operations broadcast live.The first is Open Heart Surgery with Frank and his team.There is another which is keyhole Surgery and two Clinical Procedures on the Brain,one when the Patient is awake.For all you budding 'Medics' it will be a real treat and for anybody just about to take a 'First Aid' Badge or Certificate it will give you an idea of what you could aspire to be or do.I shall be up in Central London at the Wellcome where they have 'Medical Teams' that are the same as those in the Operating Theatres and they will have some of the same equipment as used in the particular Operations.About forty years ago the BBC used to broadcast a Programme called 'Your Life in Their Hands' which may have been live ?
