Here in London it's what we call warm and everywhere else it's warm but it's called 'hot' although I would argue not to hot to be outside.At the week-end we went for a 'hike' or a long walk.I explain all this as there was some concern about the weather.Please don't tell anybody but there has always been concerns about the weather and Scouting.As it was hot and it rained I was at pains to explain that this was perfect Scouting weather.

Big Mistake !

It's almost a medical impossibility to contract Pneumonia or Bronchitis or Miliaria or Heatstroke or Swine Flu or Hebephrenia or Coronary Thrombosis etc etc.........!!

The only danger is getting beaten up by other young people who don't like Scouts.

However

Following 'The Scout Law' means 'Being Prepared' and I think it a good way of practicing 'First Aid' particularly when the 'village boys' require a bit of TLC and two plasters.
