Title: Channel 4 - Space Cadets
Description: Will iit work?
Keith - November 30, 2005 01:50 PM (GMT)
The new channel 4 reality show Space Cadets starts on the 7th December. Its all a big trick on the contestants, with a few actors being contestants. Does anyone think that C4 will pull this one off? Will any of the contestants realise? Are you going to watch it?

i think the reality TV format is the worst invention ever... mainly because BB sucked so many hours of my life when it was first on... :P

I feel reality TV had ran its course.

The adverts look good so I will give it a try. If it's anything like big brother I shall switch off immediately.
On a completely different note, does anyone watch "broken news" I watched it for the first time tonight and it was absolutely hilarious.

I saw it last night, and it was quite good. Im going to watch it today and see how good it is.
I do watch broken news, its quite good, but some of the bits are irritating.
Dr_Pepper - December 8, 2005 05:22 PM (GMT)
Watched it and it was interesting, but I'm sceptical.
The people would have to be extremely dumb to believe that it was all true, and surely some of them would back out and chicken out of going through with it? On top of this, there were some really glaring errors in the "Russian" base such as the American space shuttle, and worse the car park full of nothing but brand new shiney Vauxhalls, which are not only right hand drive but also branded Vauxhall and not Opel as they are in Russia.
All this leads me to think maybe it is a double bluff. I know some of them are supposedly actors but what if they all are? Are they trying to fool the public as a whole rather than just a select group of muppets?...

I watched it last night and thought it was great.
The ppl on there are extremely gulable. Surper ideawho ever thought of it, as it could all back fire on the makers, which would be funny!!!
Did anyone see any images in all of those dots, apart from the alien?
Keith - December 9, 2005 09:32 AM (GMT)
Dr Pepper must have seen the satalite show on E4!
Its interesting to watch because of the hoax element, but otherwise, I would not watch it.
They were all chosen because they were gullible and would beleave it, its all part of the fun of watching it.
I didn't get any of the other dotted pictures. I never have been able to do things like that. I did make a good guess on the eyes in te jar. I guessed 200.
Dr_Pepper - December 9, 2005 12:33 PM (GMT)
Nope not seen E4 I don't have sky.

E4 is now on freeview too, thats what I have got. Do you just have the basic 5 channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4 and five)?
Dr_Pepper - December 9, 2005 12:46 PM (GMT)
Oh is it I didn't know that. We've got freeview at home (never watch it though apart from occassional Formula 1 and BTCC on ITV2) but I don't have it here at uni.

E4 is after More4 in the TV guide. I think its about number 15ish.

Why not, you can pic,k up some good little boxes for about £25 now (ASDA in Weymouth for example, the only problem with that is there is no free view sigal in Weymouth :S
Dr_Pepper - December 10, 2005 01:22 PM (GMT)
Because there's absolutely nothing I want to watch, and I don't want to waste my money?
On top of this according to the official website despite the fact that I live in the middle of a town centre in Leicestershire and not in outer Mongolia you can't get any more than the basic channels anyway.
Eyeball - December 11, 2005 07:31 PM (GMT)
Can't always trust that! I supposedly can't, but I had a box before I moved so just tried it.
But if there is nothing on it you want to watch then...yes, there is no point!
Keith - December 12, 2005 09:28 AM (GMT)
I have relatives in Leicester and none of them have freeview or sky.
My favourite channels on freeview are BBC3, BBC News 24 and Sky Sports News, and apart from that, all the other channels that I mainly watch are in the basic five channels.

Men and motors....mainly for the Sweeny :)
